 Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau schedules Korean language examination for the migrant employees
Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau has scheduled the next Korean Language Proficiency Examination for the Sri Lankans expecting to migrate for employment in South Korea.
Applications for Korean Language Proficiency Examination will be issued between 20-24 August, 2012 at all decentralized offices of Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau.
Applications will also be issued at six centers in Colombo, the Bureau announced.
The Korean Language Proficiency Examination will be held on 13 and 14th of October 2012 in Colombo.


Korean government officials monitor the conducting of the examination. The candidates who pass the examination are given a basic training before granting them visa to work in Korea.
Sri Lankan employees consider Korea as a better paid destination and there is a high demand for Korean language proficiency test that provides basic qualification for a job in Korea.
Each year around 50,000 individuals sit for the examination to qualify for around 10,000 employment opportunities a year from South Korea. ( colombo page)
