රුසියාවෙන් ඇමරිකාවට බරපතල අවවාදයක්..

යුක්රේනය තවදුරටත් සන්නද්ධ කිරීමට එරෙහිව එක්සත් ජනපදයට අනතුරු අඟවන රුසියාව , ඇමරිකාවේ බයිඩන් පරිපාලනයට විධිමත් නිල ලිපියක් යවා ඇති බව පැවසේ. රාජ්‍ය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට යවන ලද එම ලිපිය , ගැටුම නැගෙනහිර යුක්‍රේනයට මාරු වන විට අවි හුවමාරුව දිගටම අනුමත කිරීමට ජනාධිපති බයිඩෙන් ගත් තීරණය සමඟ මොස්කව් තම කෝපය හෙළි කළේය. " තව දුරටත් යුක්රේන හමුදා වලට යුධ අවි ආයුධ දුනහොත් ඇමරිකාවට බරපතල පිළිතුරු ලැබෙනු ඇත " යි රුසියාව එම ලිපියෙන් අවවාද කර ඇත.

රාජ්‍ය ලේකම් ඇන්ටනි බ්ලින්කන් විසින් මෙම උපායමාර්ගය කලින් විස්තර කර ඇත්තේ, අවසානයේ ගැටුමේ සාකච්ඡාමය අවසානයක් සෙවීමේ ප්‍රයත්නයක් ලෙස, සාකච්ඡා මේසයේ Kyiv හි උත්තෝලනය වැඩි කිරීමේ සැලැස්මේ කොටසක් ලෙස ය. වොෂින්ටන් පෝස්ට් රුසියාවේ සිට එක්සත් ජනපදයට රාජ්‍ය තාන්ත්‍රික සටහන ප්‍රථමයෙන් වාර්තා කළ අතර, ආයුධ නැව්ගත කිරීම් “අනපේක්ෂිත ප්‍රතිවිපාක” ගෙන දිය හැකි බව රුසියානු නිලධාරීන් උපුටා දැක්වීය.

විස්තර වලට අනුව, N750GF යානය ඩේවිස් ඇතුළු විදේශීය ජාතිකයන් දෙදෙනෙකු රැගෙන මාර්තු 28 වන දින ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට පැමිණ ඇත. එය අප්‍රේල් 16 වන දින උදෑසන එක්සත් අරාබි එමීර් රාජ්‍යයේ ඩුබායි වෙත රත්මලාන ගුවන් තොටුපළෙන් පිටත් විය.

ඩේවිස් ඉංග්‍රීසි විලාසිතා නිර්මාණකරුවෙකු වන අතර ප්‍රමුඛ පෙළේ ඇඟලුම් සන්නාම කිහිපයක හිමිකරුවෙකි.

Gotabhaya Rajapaksa visited Poland at the invitation of Minister of National Defense Tomasz Siemoniak

Secretary, Ministry of Defense and Urban Development Gotabhaya Rajapaksa visited Poland at the invitation of Minister of National Defense Tomasz Siemoniak to attend the 20^th International Defense Industry Exhibition (MPSO) held in Kielce from 3^rd - 6^th September 2012. The exhibition was inaugurated by President of Poland Boruslaw Komorowski on 3^rd of September amidst a large gathering of invitees related to defence industry worldwide. Secretary Defence had a prominent presence among the dignitaries attending the exhibition.

Dehiyattakandiya UNPers join the SLFP in their hundreds

President Mahinda Rajapakse emphasized that the government is holding elections in due time to protect the democratic tights of the people and not to put the political parties that cannot face the people in to a predicament.

The president made these comments addressing a people's rally held at the Mahaweli sports grounds at Dehiattakandiya yesterday.

He reminded about the United National Party rolling up electoral maps in the past fearing to face elections. The President said that under the government of the United People's Freedom Alliance the people of the country not only inherited a liberated developed country, but also got their democratic rights safeguarded to its maximum.

He said that the government has launched the development process with a clear grasp of the problems being faced by the people. The people from all corners of the country are rallying round the United People's Freedom Alliance from the Pradeshiya Sabha level up to the level of the president.

President opens Trinco state-of-the-art fish market complex

President Mahinda Rajapaksa opened a state-of-the-art fish market complex in Trincomalee on Tuesday (04) which will give immense benefits to the fishing community and the public in the Northern and Eastern Provinces.

The complex is fully equipped with ultra-modern facilities such as a 35 ton capacity deep freezer room, a vehicle park, water purification plants, electricity generators, sewerage plants, rain water removal apparatus, a restaurant,  banks, post office, an auditorium and 64 trade stalls.  The Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Ministry has spent Rs.101 M on the construction of the new complex with funds provided by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) under the Post-Tsunami Coastal Rehabilitation and Resource Management Programme.

Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage congratulates the first Sri Lankan Paralympian Medalist Pradeep Sanjaya

Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage who is in London to encourage the Sri Lankan Paralympians congratulated the first Sri Lankan Paralympics medalist, Pradeep Sanjaya, soon after the event, for bringing honour and glory to Sri Lanka, the Ministry of Sports Said.

Pradeep Sanjaya won Sri Lanka’s first medal of the London 2012 Paralympics Games in the Men’s 400m T46, ended the event with timing of 49.28 seconds and won the bronze medal. This was also his personal and season's best and also a regional best, the Ministry said.

The centre was inaugurated on 31^st August 2012 with a simple ceremony at the Shanghai Marriot Hotel City Center Complex, just a two-minute walk from the Shanghai city centre, People’s Square.

 

Ms. Hasanthi Dissanayake, Consul General for Sri Lanka in Shanghai and Mr. Chen Zi Fa,Secretary General of Shanghai Tea Trade Association inaugurated the centre with the ribbon cutting followed by lighting the oil lamp in traditional Sri Lankan style.
